850 OPS guy wouldn't be bad to have right about now, arm or no arm.

Except the guys he would replace are .850 hitters, hence the reason he was traded in the first place. Plus neither has a creature. Although one of them does let a ball sail 30 feet over his head occasionally.

It's interesting, yesterday, when Garza failed to throw a ball when he had a runner picked off, a lot of people were upset that he didn't make the throw. I think Garza suffers from the yips when he has to make easy throws at times as well, and I think that this mental part of the game that affects some players is something a lot of people don't think about or perhaps understand.

Steve Sax had a really weird bout with the yips, when he couldn't make throws from 2nd to first.

Khris Davis can't play CF. He would be a backup OF for us right now. As bad a defensive player as Santana is, Davis is much worse.

It's pretty bad when a player can outrun a ball thrown by Khris Davis. Bartolo Colon could be on 2nd base and score on a base hit to left.

That was well written. Kudos for him for making this public and for the extra work he's put in to try to figure it out.
