Would it be out of possible/probable to play those games in Milwaukee? Would MLB have better options?

No. They have to be played at a neutral site. There's something in the rules somewhere about that.

Other options for a neutral field besides Chicago (ChiSox are at Detroit): Baltimore (they are in NY vs Yankees), NY (Mets are in Atlanta), Pittsburgh (Pirates are in Cincy), St. Louis (they are at the Cubs), Texas (Rangers at Angels).

Got to think its one of those 6 if games are moved away from Miami....

Haudricourt suggested Phoenix, but that's a long trip unless the forecasts in every other city are poor

Perhaps we could play in Colorado Springs.

Giancarlo could threaten the HR record if he had a few games there.

Is there? Because the Rangers were going to host the Astros before they declined which wouldn't have been neutral. If there was some rule about that, it wouldn't have even been considered.

These are the options

St. Louis
Baltimore
Los Angeles
Oakland
Kansas City
Chicago
Pittsburgh
Milwaukee
Boston
New York
Toronto
Seattle
San Diego
Texas
Arizona

I think you can eliminate every place in the Mountain or Pacific time zones as I doubt MLB wants either team travelling 2,000-3,000 miles to play the series. That already eliminates Los Angeles, Oakland, Seattle, San Diego and Arizona. I think if they can avoid it, they wouldn't want it in Milwaukee. Since it's pretty close to the end of the season I doubt they want the possibility of a rain out. So Toronto is probably the best option.

I doubt the games are moved though. The series isn't for another 5 days and the damage in that link doesn't seem like it would be enough to outright move the games. The only thing to look at imo is what Hurricane Jose does. If that stays in the ocean and then travels up the coast like most models project, then I'm willing to bet the games are played in Miami. If it changes and manages to go towards Florida, then they have to move the games.

Cards' fans wear jorts.

Actually the Astros wanted to trade series. So the one that was supposed to be in houston would move to arlington and one later that was in arlington would move to houston.

If the series was moved to Milwaukee the Cubs would lose their minds… but it would be a little sweet justice for them moving two games on us to try and manipulate the scheduling.

I have really good tickets to 2 of the Marlins games so I hope not. I am in NW Florida so it's a little up-in-the-air as if to if roads will be clear enough or there will be gas but at this point it appears Miami is okay.

I don't see them moving the games. Irma didn't result in the death and destruction many feared. Stock market is up significantly today because it wasn't a total disaster. As long as most of the power can be restored and they'll have thousands of crews working on it and the major roads cleared, they'll play in Miami.

I'm not saying you are wrong... but this is downtown Miami as of yesterday morning: http://people.com/human-interest/dramat ... g-streets/

I'm not sure that can be cleaned up by Friday?

This isn't something people just made up. The roof is damaged.

STL as an option might honor the "letter of the law," but there is no way that would be a truly neutral site. I hope MLB looks at the broader playoff picture and relocates MIL/MIA to a site where the local fans wouldn't have an obvious rooting interest.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Agreed. Ideally move it to an AL venue. Without looking at schedules, maybe Baltimore or Cleveland? Or maybe play it at a larger AAA ballpark?

.... what does the stock market have to do with whether or not a baseball series is moved?

if the games stay in Miami they might be the lowest attended games in its history.

Right. I have to imagine literally every single person in the Miami area has much better things to do right now than go to a baseball game.

Cause the people of Baltimore are going to flock for the Brewers/Marlins.

The goal is a neutral site, St Louis wouldn't be remotely neutral. Playing at a neutral site means almost by default that turnout won't be great. Unless they get creative and play in a southern state with a nice college stadium that doesn't have pro baseball. Texas and Houston played their neutral site series in tampa...which must have the worst attendance by far in all of baseball even when their team is playing. Based on that, Baltimore would make a ton of sense.
