To round this out, the Brewers website shows Jake Hager, Tuffy Gosewisch, Angel Perdomo, and Deolis Guerra as non roster invites to spring. Those 4 plus the 9 farmhands above accounts for 13 of the 14. So I guess I can't fully round this out, still a non-roster invite missing.

Actually, the Brewers just made the part up to troll Nate Orf.

One posters face probably lite up with sunshine & smiles before remembering he was on 40 man

Nottingham had big season last year & had his coffee. Think Brewers are still very high on him. Stock in no way is down. Could see him winning 2nd catcher spot in Spring

Over Pina?

Only if Pina is traded.

I think that is a real possibility with Kratz back & Nottingham looking like he deserves a real shot. Spring will tell. Rumors have been out there with interest in Pina. Stearns I think is waiting to play spring out. With Grandal, Pina very expendable. Plus you hopefully groom Nottingham to take over if Grandal option doesn’t work out after this season. Think he is a point where we should find out what we have with him. Could see a trade Pina, keep Kratz, and Nottingham starts in AAA. Kratz doesn’t perform & Nottingham hitting, they make switch in June

It looks like other than Gatewood (will he be ready?), Archer and possibly a yet-to-be-signed backup outfielder, the entire Missions roster might be starting spring in big league camp.

I'm a bit surprised given the number of catchers they usually have in camp that McDowell isn't on the list.

He's still doesn't turn 24 until April, so they still are hoping he's a future number one catcher but they need to see more than 178 AB of decent AAA production after he hit just .209 in AA in 2017. This is a key year for Nottingham. He needs to hit and hit with power and cut down his strikeouts in AAA this season or he could be passed up by Payton Henry as catcher of the future.

Just as a source of reference Henry hit 234/327/380 as a 21 year old in low A last year and Nottingham hit 326/387/543 as a 20 year old in low A in 2015. Henry has a long way to go.

That's only 5 catchers. They usually invite every catcher in the organization since they need someone to catch all those pitchers. I wonder if that means they're planning on signing some "veterans" to minor league deals to fill in.
