Less parking (I’m told about 400 spaces less), less food options (longer lines for concessions) and even less restrooms. I call it a failure for the fans.

The ability to field a second AZL team (thus more talent in the system) and the addition of the cutting edge sports science facilities are worth 400 parking spaces and longer concession lines at a spring training faculty that might see 3000 people on a given day. My concern is with the output of the major league team and the improvements made will, in theory, do that. From that perspective, I consider it a significant win for the fans.

i remember watching the live stream of the phoenix city council meeting where they voted 6-2 to contribute $10 million to the maryvale renovation project over a five-year period as well as annual $1.4 million operating fees.
