Including the end of 2018 (not the playoffs), the Brewers are on a 33-10 run (77% winning PCT)... Incredible...

Stearns probably had no interest in getting a C because the Brewers need a C. It makes much more sense to trade for 3B when it's not needed, and then move the other 3B to 2B, then trade for a 2B, but since the 3B is now at 2B, then the new 2B goes to SS

Brewer pitchers lead the NL in K's with 91. The gap between them and the #2 team(Mets with 74) is the same as the gap between #2 and #15.

Gap is going to increase with burns pitching tonight!

And possibly Hader too!

Three series into the season and three series wins. Two over our division foes. Amazing what this bunch of rag tag players are accomplishing.

I’ll be honest, I was fully preparing for March and April to be disappointing based on the tough schedule. The fact that they have taken 8 out of 10 from division rivals to start the season is really, really encouraging.

Yeah, with several more series coming imminently against the Dodgers, Cardinals, and Cubs, I am ecstatic that the Crew has already banked eight wins. Helps smooth what will certainly be tougher times ahead.

EDIT: Sorry, since this is the optimism thread... The Crew’s .800 winning percentage is definitely sustainable for the next month of this difficult schedule!

What is best in life? To crush the Cardinals, Cubs, and Manny Machado, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentation of their fanboys.

8-2 with a +2 run differential. Optimistically, if you are going to lose, lose big so you don't use Hader and (whoever develops into the second best reliever) on those days.

Everyone was concerned about the tough schedule, but to be honest we get it at the best possible time you could imagine. The start of the season teams are a mess and usually teams start off sluggish. The fact we have started of strong is a double bonus leading to an incredible record to start. I don't want a tough schedule come August and September. That is when a tough schedule is usually exactly that...tough. Hard to do anything, but earn those wins then. In April/May you can get gifted a lot that won't be happening in the later months when everyone settles in.

Maybe this is just a bunch of cliches, but when I see them play they just impress the heck out of me with their team approach, the never say die attitude, the manager’s willingness to try what ever it takes, the one game at a time mentality. These guys are just a bunch of fun. Let’s keep it brewing!

Burnes HR/FB ratio dropped from 75% to 64%!! Still a lot of HRs but not as many flyballs are going over!

Really glad to see Davies stepping up in the early going. I think Chase will eventually get some starts here as well. Work your two seam plus slide piece just an inch off the plate magic again tonight Zach!

Aguilar, Shaw and Braun haven't hit a lick. Two out of their three young starters stumbled badly out of the gate and they are still 3 games over against a very tough schedule in the opening month.

Burnes will be fine, he just needs to work on his fastball command for a few games in triple A, he's still the future.

Now four games over.

Not too bad considering 4/9ths of our lineup (pitchers & bench have bern solid), 3/5ths of our rotation & 7/8ths of our bullpen (by most posters estimation, seemingly) have been varying degrees of hot garbage to dumpster fire.

Brewers have played at least 2 games more than every other team in the NLC. 17/23 games (And soon to be 20/26) have been against the three teams with the best run differential in the NL. We're done with the season series against the best team in the NL.

Basically, it's been one of the toughest schedules to start the season of any team. In that time we've also auditioned three young starters in the rotation, with the growing pains that entails. Despite that, we're still 13-10.
