Love Suter. Awesome person. We really could've used him down the stretch last year. Lets hope he brings some extra mojo with him... we need it.

@Haudricourt
LHP Brent Suter has said all along he thinks he can be ready to pitch for #Brewers in September and with an assignment to
@BiloxiShuckers, it certainly seems reasonable. Don't put anything past him, with his work ethic, smarts, and Brewers flailing pitching staff.

Feel like he left out important details, so I added.

Suter gets extended run for Biloxi tonight: 2.0 IP, 0 R, 0H, 1 BB, 1 K. 27 pitches/16 strikes.

He has also resumed his acting career with another stunning performance:

You'd think. TJ vs a torn ACL from about 6 weeks before the season. The one thing you don't want to do though if rush a guy who's got a leg injury out there as it can cause him to try and overthrow to compensate for the lack of strength in his legs.

I'm still excited for the stretch run, but really excited for what next years team could look like. We should have a loaded pen with Wahl coming back, Knebel coming back, Devin Williams, Rasmussen, Houser...etc..etc....

People here are absolutely bagging on the Black acquisition. What has Wahl proven to make you believe he's a legitimate MLB option and a better option than Black?

At the very least, he can help out of the pen. With no ability to add players via trade, getting a guy like Suter back would be tremendous.

That video was both stupid and hilarious. And also yet oddly realistic? He really sells his part... [wink]

Yeah ... another multi-inning reliever that you can trust out there would be a big deal in the very least. It doesn't appear that they are trying to stretch him out to start.

I think in a different alternate reality Suter could win a gold glove. He fields his position well, he hustles, and makes some spectacular plays as well

My opinion was last year he was on his way to having a really good shot at it, had he not gotten hurt.

Suter had zero chance at the Gold Greinke Glove Award. None, he isn’t good enough to win it. This is typically true for any position, but pitcher may be the worst.

While probably true, I don't know if I've ever seen a pitcher make more "web gem" plays than he has in his short career.

Maybe. I know gg is often more a measure of popularity but if you think back to some of the great play he had last year I don’t think it’s too far fetched. Then again I thought Cain was going to win it so who knows.

Another two scoreless innings, this time with the Missions in AAA.

Rehab outings are obviously firstly about health and building endurance, secondarily about getting the mechanics right and get rid of the rust and the cobwebs, and only a distant third (or fourth) about results. And of course it's a major league pitcher facing inferior opposition.

Even with those caveats, Suter still has yet to give up a run or even a hit in 7 IP. 2 walks and 11 strkeouts. Better hitters might get better results, but even so it's encouraging to see him looking sharp straight out of the gate.
