Looks like the same set up as last year so I won’t bother really writing it out. Prices appear the same as last year...or dang near close if not. Below are when the sales start, which as you can imagine kicks off with season ticket holders.

9/23 at 9am Central Time - Game 163 and NLWC tickets go on sale.

9/26 at 9am Central Time - NLDS tickets go on sale.

I just saw this too. Reminder to all that the Brewers don't like it when you sell your seats on stubhub. Don't do it, or risk not having presale access for potential NLCS or WS tickets...

For those that do not know, the schedule for the playoffs is already set. Game 163 would be Monday September 30th, The Wild card would be Tuesday the 1st and the two potential NLDS games in Milwaukee would be Sunday the 6th and Monday the 7th.

They lock access if you sell from the presales - at least last year they did, but only for the World Series that never happened. However, they do nothing if you sell seats from the strip. Making it quite easy to buy what you want in the presale, sell the strip assuming they are worse seats, and break even or walk away with a couple bucks while still getting to the game.

I suspect they figured the locking thing out after realizing how many got sold off, so I anticipate anyone who sells from the presales will get locked out earlier on this year.

We will see if they do the “lock out” again. I think they kinda discovered that was not a good way to go about things. I mean what if you buy 4 tickets and suddenly the other people couldn’t make it? That happened to a lot of people and it got real ugly on the phone lines from people calling in discovering they got banned from participating. I appreciate what they are try to do...but...yikes.

I guess I don’t get why they let people buy a strip and then get 8 additional tickets in a place nowhere near the strip...it doesn’t really add up if you ask me. Or why let people decline a strip and then get 8 tickets? Probably should be 4 tickets or however many seats you have, whichever is greater.

Or maybe, idk, warn people before hand reselling will lock you out in future pre sales. So then people will make sure to only get the number they confidently will need. At least be transparent from the front. And no...I didn’t run into this last year, but I think it was pretty lame by the Brewers.

They usually do 4, not 8. Might've been 8 for NLDS but I actually don't remember. I am guessing they are a little self conscious about selling it out given that it's just a one-game playoff and on a weekday during the day, and that playoff fatigue has probably set in a bit - people won't go crazy for a one game wild card a year after making the NLCS.

I think it's fair that SSH get a presale though whether or not they buy a strip. The alternative would be just releasing to the public right away which makes even less sense to me. SSH front the team a lot of money, really overpay for most of their package without any guarantee at all that the playoff privilege is worth anything. I only have two seats but I always have more than two people to take to a playoff game. Made sense to me that they get first dibs before I had season tickets, makes more sense now.

If a SSH has five people they want to go to a game with I think they should get that privilege before general public.

I'm not really interested in reselling this year though, seems a bit risky. For the reasons I stated above, but even if they get to the NLDS you could be sitting on expensive seats with a team down 0-2. Didn't have that issue last year when they had the best record. The one time it happened with Game 6, it got very hard to sell extras to that game.

Today’s 9am presale appears to be postponed due to a tickets.com hardware outage.

The next time the Brewers sell playoff tickets without some snafu will be the first time.

I still don't understand now allowing them to be sold on StubHub. I'm planning to buy some (and not sell them) but isn't it within my rights to do so? I paid for season tickets all year long, I can sell ANY of those games on stubhub, hell, I can sell ALL of them on StubHub if I felt inclined to do so.

I understand they don't want people to profit off of it or let opposing fans in, but still, I think it's wrong for them to revoke access to them. As others have said, people get sick, people have emergencies, people suddenly can't make it...are they just supposed to be out the money or try to sell them without the use of the most popular ticket market? I just think it's wrong.

All that said, I have no plans to sell, lol.

IMO the #1 thing that makes that absolutely ridiculous is that they sell the games before the times are announced. But they also did not take action on locking people out until the World Series. So maybe they will do that again? We just don't know.

I'm not seeing much profit potential in the Wild Card and Divisional. A Tuesday night, Sunday against the Packers/Cowboys game and a Monday that will potentially be an afternoon game.

I don't see it either. It also just happened last year which can cause fatigue. People are more inclined to save their money for when they get deeper. Also, as I said above, you run a great risk of buying up NLDS tickets and then having to sell Game 3 against the Dodgers with an 0-2 deficit. That will not be easy. It was the case with NLCS Game 6.

I would imagine a ton of people will pass on NLDS tickets. I am sure most people wouldn't be very optimistic about a potential date with the Dodgers and as mentioned we could easily be on the doorstep of defeat. People will probably hold off and wait for a potential NLCS for the most part. Last year even watching their potential elimination would have sold NLDS tickets just because people were so pumped to be in the postseason again...this year won't have the kind of interest. They need to be doing good.

You can still make money, just not as lucrative as last year. he second we would make the NLDS people would fly to go buy tickets to Game 3. Packers are a non issue, I doubt that dramatically effects the Brewers postseason ticket interest on a weekend day. Of course if we lose two to kick it off, yah, interest would die quick.

Ah, what's becoming an annual tradition - OSS complaining about the postseason ticketing process. Much better than the alternative though, which would be having no postseason at all. It's a great problem to have.

Lol...weird comment.

I hope it becomes an annual tradition though. I really hope he gets to complain about how World Series tickets are done or the parade route.

Ticket vendor that crashes the hour before they sell tickets and manually processing orders in 2018, it is not like I'm "complaining" about minor issues. They suck at doing this, that much is clear.

BTW, I have it confirmed they WILL be locking people out, so don't sell your presale tix.

I'll just say that outside of the personal enjoyment of seeing the Brewers in the World Series, the second greatest benefit would be the lack of posts fretting about when the deposit will be credited back.

If they do get past the WC game it looks like the home games would be on weekdays both in the NLDS and NLCS. So likely afternoon games. Ugh.
