We have a ballpark to be named later, why not keep with the theme and name the LF restaurant the same thing?

"A Restaurant To Be Named Later" reeks of trying to be cute, but not succeeding.

Sounds stupid.

I generally don’t care what the restaurant is called, but if they are actually permanently naming it Restaurant to be Named Later?

Oof.

A thread like this already generating 3 pages of posts?

How many days until opening day?

Would love it if they put a Chotchkie's in there. Now THAT place has some serious flair.

I'd take a Shenaniganz.

You could appeal to the Latin players with Escupimos en su Alimento.

For a team that continues to be uber-cutsey with its social media and fan reach-out, I guess it isn't surprising that something stupid like this would happen.

Bud's Suds and Grille.

It seems to me a bunch of marketing people were trying to be cute, when they didn't have to be. I could probably come up with others with just a little thought.

Even if Uke didn't want it named after him, they could have honored Schroeder's long tenure and named it something like Rock's or Buckethead's.

I'm not a fan of using a catchphrase from a movie that wasn't centered around the Brewers. So unless they are using a Mr. 3000 quote, no thanks.

"Just a Bit Outside" is not just from the movie Major League. Uecker has been using this as a catch phrase as a Brewers broadcasting for years before that movie came out.

This may be true but it’s Harry Doyle’s quote more than anyone else. Pass.

Are we sure about this? Because I thought the same and researched it, but couldn't find anyone mentioning him saying that pre-Major League.

Augie’s Breakaball Bar and Grill. Either that or just make it a Pizza Ranch.

Only if they serve Sol and it's brought to the tables by David Gruber.

They have to provide a vintage Corvette to go to Ho-Chunk too ... all while some Hanson knock-off plays in the background.

It was okay there but it ran its course. it still was busy during game day but I can see it struggling non game days since it is a chain and nobody would really go out of the way to visit this location.

Actually, we live in Waukesha and usually try to get there at least once during the dead of Winter. Not so much because we like the food, but more to just gaze out at the field and dream of warmer weather and baseball. It's actually kind of surreal to look out at the empty stadium and field when it's cold, dark, and 10 degrees outside.

If we are going with Uekerism's as thoughts to name the restaurant, how about "Get up, get up....get off that wall....caught"?

"Just a bit outside" from the movie was just a slightly exaggerated take on his normal "just a bit outside" play by play call from as far back as I can remember listening (late 70's).

(Somewhere) I have audio cassettes recorded from WTMJ (and WISN) of Brewers games and coverage. I used to listen and relisten to them all offseason until spring training to the point that I could recall play by play for (seemingly) entire innings.

haha. I just pointed out the Breakaball thing to people in the last week of the season and how it's in my head now. And in general his over the top WI accent. Breakaball has always been glaring to me. Seems like a good guy though so I just take it in stride.
