Will be super interested to see the financials on this one. Happy for a guy like Drew to turn new found success into a big pay day. He was great with us.

Looks like Preller is loading up for another year of disappointment. Unless they have a miracle 2020 season he has to be fired. He really doesn't seem to have any clear plan to what he's doing.

OK ... big Pom can be a deadline target for the Brewers again in 2020, after the Padres suck again [wink]

Reporting a 3 year deal, cannot wait to see the overpay the Padres did. So to answer your question, nah!! [laughing]

I'm glad for Drew. Reinvented himself and was lights out for the Brewers. Arguably their pitching MVP (with Lyles) from August on. Seemed like an awesome dude too. Wish he could have come back.

Likewise, with the way he pitched though,I knew someone was going to open the bank for him.

I wanted him back bad. Cishek is probably the FA reliever left who I really want if they're going to bring in a proven guy (unlikely).

According to Robert Murray, the deal is 4 years, $8-9 million AAV. WOW!

Good for Drew, but there was no way the Brewers were going there.

That is closer money. Wonder if they are looking to go "Super Pen" route, or are considering finally dealing Yates?

Yeah, I’m not going to bemoan Pomeranz signing elsewhere if that was the top end of his market.

I liked him, probably not 4 years though. 3/$24mil I probably could have swung in my head.

Sounds like 4 years $34m, and living in one of the best places in the US

Maybe you read the story wrong? He's not coming back to Milwaukee.

Insane that he got a four year deal based on 20 some appearances. Good for him though.

Congrats Drew. It's a bad idea to pay relievers big money. Glad we typically don't.
