I'm not sure anyone believes Baines should be in the Hall of Fame. Probably even some of his family members were stunned by the news.

With the extremely weak first-time eligible players for the HOF this year, Schilling, Bonds and Clemens have their best shots yet.

If I remember right, Baines also had a "D" speed rating in RBI Baseball.

Cecil Cooper was Rod Carew with power! (they were my two favorite players as a teenager)

He is Hall of Famer in my mind!
