lorenzo cain is sidelined by an oblique issue. the club is trying to avoid worsening it by keeping him out of the starting lineup.

Having Bradley makes this 10x easier.

But I miss Lo in the lineup already. Makes it feel way more like 2020 the past few days.

Exactly why they went out and got a veteran 4th OFer who has historically given fairly competent offense+defense.

This will probably be a regular occurrence for Cain the next 2 seasons.
I stand by my 100 game theory.
I don't see him playing more than 100 games all season.

Glad I didn’t reply earlier. I was going to say “they should just dl him and let him rest”. This is why I am a fan and not involved in any way with actual decisions.

He left the game in the bottom of the 2nd with an apparant leg injury.

EDIT: Left quad injury

He's still a good player when healthy, but he's breaking down an awful lot. Team was already seriously lacking RH bench bats. Time to summon Taylor for the first of his many callups.

I sort of picture him like the pickup truck driving down the highway with stuff flying out of the back of it. Lorenzo appears to have hit the age where stuff just breaks and falls off when he moves.
Hopefully he can get healthy and contribute on the field instead of just as a clubhouse leader.

Looks like they need to add a 5th to cover for Yelich’s recurring injury issues.

McKinney has looked the part so far, albeit in an extremely small sample. He's done enough, though, to warrant a longer look I think.

I wonder if he will consider retirement after this year if he has a lot of injuries. It seems like a possibility after opting out last year.

He was up yesterday, and was a defensive replacement late in the game.
