Nick Ramirez's instagram story shows him at Mobile Regional Airport 2 hours ago... Shuckers don't finish up in Mobile under Monday. Guessing he's headed to Colorado Springs to help the SkySox in PCL playoffs? Good for him, if so.

Not that minor league playoffs really mean anything but how legitimate can they be if half of the playoff roster didn't even play a game for that team during the regular season?

To make room for Keston Hiura's activation at Wisconsin, RHP Victor Diaz, done for the season after Friday's start, was placed on the DL.

The Biloxi Press Release does a nice job of detailing Ramirez' accomplishments.

18-year-old OF Leugim Castillo has been moved from Maryvale to Helena to replenish the H-Crew outfield. It's not necessarily a statistically-earned bump, but maintains a playoff-bound A-Crew roster. And probably a very cool flight for the young man, a 17th round Lancaster NY high school pick.

Infielder Francisco Thomas is another player that has been moved off the Maryvale roster to Helena's, but both of these moves may be paper moves, as the Maryvale roster needed to be reduced to the maximum of 35.

Remember, Helena's schedule extends past Labor Day, ending next Saturday the 9th, so we'll see.

Since Ramirez is a minor league FA after this season if not added to the 40 man, have to believe he has one more promotion in the offing after AAA playoffs.

While he could be promoted to Milwaukee yet this year, Ramirez doesn't have to be added to the 40-man until after the season, if that's the route the Brewers wish to take to retain him. Also a strong possibility that he re-signs a minor league deal with a camp invite.

To make room for Carolina's RHP Wuilder Rodriguez to make Monday's start with the Sky Sox, RHP Rob Scahill was placed on the Temporary Inactive List, retro to 9/3.

Via the Sky Sox -- finalizing the playoff-opening roster:

The Colorado Springs Sky Sox and the Milwaukee Brewers have announced that RHP Rob Scahill and RHP Michael Blazek have been reinstated from the temporary inactive list. In addition, OF Johnny Davis, OF Troy Stokes Jr. and RHP Aaron Wilkerson have been transferred from Double-A Biloxi to Colorado Springs.

In a trio of corresponding moves, OF Kirk Nieuwenhuis and LHP Andrew Barbosa have been transferred to Double-A Biloxi and RHP Wuilder Rodriguez has been transferred to Class-A Carolina. Roster at 25.

Wow, pretty cool to see Stokes get the opportunity to play in the playoffs with the Sky Sox. Perhaps he is considered a future building block. He's made a steady climb up the ladder and is only 21 years old. Glad to see Wilkerson get the call, too, even if it is to provide insurance after the Brewers made their call-ups last week.

Jacob Nottingham will replace Rene Garcia on the Sky Sox playoff roster, starting w/tonight's game. Garcia left yesterday's game w/injury.

With the Sky Sox, RHP Tyler Cravy goes on the DL as of 9/7, with LHP Andrew Barbosa transferred back to AAA from the Biloxi paper roster.

23-year-old 2015 7th round (University of Miami) 2B/3B George Iskenderian, who was placed on the organization's suspended list back on May 14th and was never re-activated, was moved to the restricted list this week.

Iskenderian started 2017 3-for-35 (three singles, 16 K's) with Biloxi.

RESTRICTED LIST - The Restricted List is used for many reasons. A team can request that a player be placed on the restricted list if that player has left the team without a valid reason, or has announced his intention to retire but is still of an age or level of skill that could allow him to return to professional baseball in the future. In effect, the team states that it retains rights to the player if and when he becomes active again.

A player on the restricted list cannot be signed by another team unless compensation is paid to the team who placed him on the list. The list is honored throughout organized baseball and in leagues that have working agreements to respect the contracts of organized baseball, such as Nippon Pro Baseball. The list is most often used today when a player retires at a young age without receiving his unconditional release. If he decides to return to playing, he must do so with his last team, unless a trade or other deal can be worked out.
