Nice feature story on Stokes, plenty of quotes from the young outfielder on his Brewers journey thus far...

Any reason why Ramirez is at AA instead of AAA?

It can't be a roster crunch as they could make room for him (Liz). Is Ramirez more dependent on breaking pitches than I remember, that they don't want him there?

I know it isn't as huge a deal to jump to the majors from AA as it once was, but it would seem they would want to see how a change effects him - they have already seen him for a year in Biloxi.

It helps that there are only ten teams in the Southern League, but ten All-Stars is still impressive.

Danny Reynolds' Long Road
Noah Nofz, BP Milwaukee

Of course, the draft isn’t the only way to add upside to the farm. Lost in the prospect explosion was this minor move: On June 2, the Milwaukee Brewers purchased the contract of 6’0” 27-year-old righty Danny Reynolds from the Sugar Land Skeeters of the independent Atlantic League.

According to Adam McCalvy, Jake Gatewood will be in Milwaukee tomorrow to get his left knee looked at by Dr. Raasch. Not good.
