Today’s roster moves according to the Brewers release:

RHP Jay Jackson and RHP Aaron Wilkerson have been recalled from Triple-A San Antonio. RHP Ray Black and RHP Freddy Peralta have been optioned there.

Really hoping for 6 strong out of Anderson today. I know (and always agree with CC) that Anderson is at his best when seeing batters only two times through, but if he can be pushed a little bit today, and hopefully not see Jackson or Wilkerson in a close game, that would really be ideal.

After last night/this morning I am fully expecting a 1-0 game.

Braun hits two homers last night, Sunday game, right handed pitcher.

He'll be on the bench today, wanna bet?

I'd play him if I were CC, he has been on the bench a couple times this season after a big game, and I don't like it.

No Lorenzo Cain in last night in a 14-inning marathon and now he’s not in the lineup for a game 12 hours later. I wonder if it’s health related and whether he is available to play at all today?

Agree. He is on the bench and shouldn’t be. We need a win today. Play your best.

I'm kind of surprised Cain isn't playing after being the only guy not used yesterday. I assume he had an injury that I missed hearing about?

Welcome back. Hopefully chase throws a complete game so we don't have to argue about or see any relievers.

One thing to watch, Erick Fedde has just 36 strikeouts in 66.0 innings pitched this season. The Brewers offensively have the 5th highest strike out rate per game in MLB (9.54 SO per game).

Will the Brewers swing and miss against Fedde?

Braun has a .808 OPS vs RHP this year, Gamel is at .654, with all the days off and Braun so hot this seems weird to me too.

Agree again. Other than it being a late game and lasting 14 innings, this doesn’t make sense. Braun is playing close to 28 year old Braun. Play the man.

Gamel struggling at the plate lately only magnifies it.

I'm sure there's nothing more to it than Braun simply needing a rest day after a night game. As much as we need him, if we want him to help carry the team in September, he needs these maintenance days. If they had an off day tomorrow, he'd probably be playing today.

Not sure where to put this and don't want to make a new thread, but the SSH playoff strip/renewal went out this week and noticed in some of the fine print that they are doing away with 25% retail on SSH nights. Food and beverage remains discounted, but you will have to spend $100 to get $25 off, and the % offer appears to be gone in 2020. That's extremely disappointing.

I didn't expect Braun today after 14 innings last night. That being said it's still disappointing. Like to see him in there. Hopefully a big spot later.

Not what the doctor ordered. This could be a long game. Bad Chase is showing up.
