Gamel is a better hitter than Gonzalez. Whether he's a rookie or 13 year veteran, Gamel is a better hitter than Gonzalez. Easily.

Also, there is no rule that says the catcher must bat 8th.

Why must things be so complicated with RR?

I've been thinking about how I'd describe this game. I'd say it's "not pretty." It's not yet, "ugly." To me it's not ugly until you are more than a run or two away from "respectable." I think 8 to 4 would be respectable, so right now it's "not pretty."

I wish the game was more entertaining so that I wouldn't have thought about that so long.

Honestly this whole page is in better spirits than I thought we would be. Maybe its just the fact baseball is back. Idk. But I still have a positive outlook on this team

If Dillard strikes a guy out, I want him to yell Kenny Powers' taunt/catch phrase in Tim Kurkjian's voice.

On a positive note, Gamel has looked solid so far at 1b

I knew Gamel would hit, but I am very impressed with his play at 1B.

But Gonzalez had such a great spring. He'll be batting #6 for the entire season...... Roenicked!

He always has a real nice opening day, sometimes even the first several weeks of the opening season, before breaking our hearts and crashing back down to earth in a big way.

I know Braun got robbed a few times but I can't imagine a team can do well when our 3/4 hitters go 0-fer

dont mind the ishikawa move here. Hart still comin back from that injury. no need to push him to his limits in an 8 2 game
