April 8 | 1:10 P.M.

Cardinals (2-1) | Brewers (1-1)
FSN HD | WTMJ 620

0-0, -.-- ERA, -.-- WHIP
Versus Brewers | Game Log
After weeks of preparing to pitch in the bullpen, Lynn's role changed in mid-March when Chris Carpenter went down. Lynn adjusted to the move seamlessly, and he should have no issues with the workload given that he started in the Minors.
0-0, -.-- ERA, -.-- WHIP
Versus Cardinals | Game Log
Wolf is Mr. Steady for the Brewers, with 13 wins, 33-34 starts and more than 210 innings each of the past two seasons. He'll draw on a gem against the Cardinals in last year's NLCS, a win in which Wolf worked seven innings.
Starting Lineups
  1. Rafael Furcal SS
  2. Tyler Greene 2B
  3. Matt Holliday LF
  4. Carlos Beltran RF
  5. David Freese 3B
  6. Matt Carpenter 1B
  7. Tony Cruz C
  8. Shane Robinson CF
  9. Lance Lynn P
  1. Rickie Weeks 2B
  2. Nyjer Morgan CF
  3. Ryan Braun LF
  4. Aramis Ramírez 3B
  5. Corey Hart RF
  6. Mat Gamel 1B
  7. Alex Gonzalez SS
  8. George Kottaras C
  9. Randy Wolf P

Wolfottaras lives! (lineup pending, of course)

It would be a nice way to start the season if the Brewers could take two of three from the Cardinals. Looks like another good day to be out at the ballpark. Oh, Easter baseball.

I'm pumped for this one. Sunny day for a drive to Milwaukee, a return to our beloved central loge seats, AND Wolfottaras. Win! please.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Wonder if Ron will use an Easter Sunday lineup?

http://m.bbref.com/m?p=XXboxesXXMILXXMIL201104240.shtml

Last year on Easter was the rare Hawk game. Brandon Boggs hit a home run, and Counsell, Nieves also both started. This is only the third game, so I'm not sure how early in the season is appropriate to roll out a Sunday lineup.

Edit: last year, the Brewers had Wolftaras on the first Sunday of the season. The Reds dominated 12-3. Wolf's line... 4IP, 10H, 6ER.

It is the same starting lineup as yesterday other than the catcher switch:

2B Rickie Weeks
CF Nyjer Morgan
LF Ryan Braun
3B Aramis Ramirez
RF Corey Hart
1B Mat Gamel
SS Alex Gonzalez
C George Kottaras
LHP Randy Wolf

It is nice when Kottaras starting happens to line up with a right hander throwing for the opponent

that is true. Im hoping now that when a lefty is starting RRR will start Lucroy. Hopefully spring training helped whatever gap there was between Wolf and Lucroy

Who? The guy who is related to Cecil Fielder? Oh yeah, kinda forgot about him... he's a DH, right?

Looking forward to our shot to take the series. Can't say enough how great it is to have baseball back. I wonder when it'll feel like we're really entrenched in the season (maybe some already feel that way?)

why exactly is Kottaras hitting after Gonzalez? Is that part of Ron Roenicke's contract that all Catchers must hit 8th?

Gonzalez MUST hit 6th or 7th.

Catcher MUST hit 8th.

RR has it in his mind, so it is a done deal until September.
