I'm assuming that today was a "scheduled day off" for Gamel.

Also, I'd be curious to know when was the last time that the Brewers or any National League team hit their 1B in the #8 lineup spot.

Either that or he caught the flu bug going around the Brewers clubhouse...

I don't mind Ishikawa batting 8th at all. He's got some pop from the 8th spot. This is actually a pretty decent lineup. Hopefully we can get a few homers and get out with a sweep. Go Crew!

Also, Harang might be the right "speed" for Ishikawa. He seems to be struggling against the hard stuff so far this year.

Is it bad that I want Ishikawa to not do well so they finally fix that mistake and bring up another normal infielder?

Bob Uecker...

"Lot's of kids here today. It's weather day here at Miller Park. They ask the kids whether they would like to go to school or come to a game. They say we will take the game. That's weather day."

Hilarious

My mlb.tv has been terrible this year also with freezing up constantly. It's my 3rd or 4th year with mlb.tv and in past seasons I was very happy with the service and never had this problem. My connection is fine and I have a good computer so I have no clue what the issue is. I thought about contacting mlb.tv to see if they could offer any advice but haven't yet. I guess my inclanation is that they will try to blame it on my network even though my network is fine.

How bad are the Padres? Harang strikes out 13 in 6 1/3 innings.

More bad defense from Morgan. Ugh. If you're not gonna trade him, at least give Aoki some starts.

This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.

Gameday comment on 3-2 pitch: "Kemp is a dead-red fastball hitter on this count. 1.86something OPS" And Wolf gives him a 90 MPH fastball over the plate.

Braun is struggling. I wonder what his longest stretch of ABs without a hit is, for his career.

If anyone cares, the Dodgers TV announcers were just talking about Braun and the stress and pressure that may exist for him now with everything he went through in the offseason. They both seemed to be on his side, especially Steve Lyons, who flat out said it was "wrong" that the drug test result was made public.

Brewers offense is just painful to watch right now. Braun 0 for the homestand. lots of low scoring games already this year and the one where we scored alot we lost.

Other teams manage to score 7, 8, even 10 runs from time to time......offense outburst for the Brewers has been 4 or 5.

He's been bad...you really have to wonder if it's the sickness or just the hangover from the off season...either way I thought he might get the day off today. He'll be fine. He's still the man.

They said this morning he's battling the flu. If he's that sick maybe he shouldn't be playing? He didn't look himself last night.

On Kemp's hr, I'm only listening, but Uecker said it was a good pitch, low and away. Said Kemp did a great job going down and getting it
