Kinda hate that Sogard went after the first pitch there. Montgomery just struggling to find the strike zone. Really bailed him out.

Darnell Coles deserves a raise......the improvement in patience from our guys over the last few years is impressive.

Love the way Brewers are extending bats.

That was a hell of an ugly inning resulting in us taking the lead.

Do umpires not do anything about Contreras' constant mound visits ? It's a little much.

That Ball 4 to Aguilar was in the exact same spot as Strike 1.

Contreras had to reach for it making it look like a ball. I don't blame the ump on that one.

I was surprised he didn't take at least one strike. He must have assumed with a couple of walks already, that the pitcher was just going to lob one in the middle of the strike zone.

Brewers were 2nd in the NL in walks last year. Not to dismiss Coles role in what the team is doing, but I also think it's a type of player that Stearns actively pursues.

Did Sogard just swing at the first pitch? Montgomery walked three of the last four batters, and Sogard swings at the first pitch?!?

I'm content to keep the lead for the last half inning and call it good.

Well Coles was the hitting coach last year too.

We love to complain about pitching and hitting coaches when things aren't going right (Fire Wynegar!), so credit is due when a team without supposed offensive stars is near the league lead in runs with this kind of plate approach. Tip of the cap Darnell.

I am not Shea Vucinich

I think that's fair.......I'll give credit to both... it's great to see.

2 in scoring position with 2 out and he's had a very hot bat. Not crazy about it either but if he gets his pitch which he thought he did, I get it.

The ump pretty much followed him out on the last visit.
