I feel like, in a prior life, Matt Adams had a career .600 average against us or something..

Sweet. Now Nick Franklin is getting starts over Brinson.

Cards' fans wear jorts.

This is pretty much what I expected Counsell to do which is why I was so anti bringing up Brinson. Just a waste having him sit on the bench.

Just send Brinson back down already. Cripes. Might as well have Hader join him.

This game is also being broadcasted live on Facebook. Not sure on the blackout restrictions.

Brinson has not exactly looked ready for prime time yet. I presume the GM puts together the roster, the manager makes the lineup. This is Counsell saying "he needs more time in AAA"

Good call on the replay. Arcia did have the ball in his glove and dropped it on the transfer but his foot wasn't on the base until after the ball came out.

Cards' fans wear jorts.

Things like that just can't happen. Help your pitcher out.

Per usual with these MLB umpires, terrible called third strike to Thames.

I haven't seen Gameday but that looked good to me. The foul tip on Pina on the other hand. Not so much.

Anyone know anything about this 1982 team? Were they any good? Did they do anything special?

I don't really understand why people want Broxton benched at all. Is it just because of the Ks? I know he's very inconsistent but there's solid upside there, even for a 27 year old. How many CFers are there with legitimate 25/25 ability, much less ones that their fans want benched?

I know he's been a bad fielder this year but he was a very good one last season -- I don't think he just suddenly forgot how to. I do think his D will come around.

Bad news: Brewers look like crap at the plate.
Good news: Foltisdjfkjsnfkjns is over 100 pitches through 5 innings.

Maybe because Keon Broxton was absolutely terrible for well over a month and his defense left a lot to be desired. I haven't seen much clamoronf to bench him of late.

I figured the tarp would be out there when we came back from break, since Brewers had their 5 innings at bat.

Yes and no. Why this franchise continues to act like that team was special, I have no idea. Like, I get it the franchise has sucked and that team made it the furthest but in the end, you're celebrating a loser.

Is the franchise going to have a David Freese Day in 2031 to celebrate 20 years since he owned us in the NLCS?

Cards' fans wear jorts.

My comment was in jest.

Well this sucks. I guess Jimmy was due for a downer, but the D did him no favors in the 1st.
