Strike one was a gift call, strike 2 was a gift swing at a pitch head high .

Then Knebel made one good pitch, fortunately that was all it took.

That was as ugly and lucky of a 2 K scoreless save as you can possibly see from Knebel. Hope he got it out of his system, and the important thing is we were still able to get the W.

Take the wins any way that you can get them. Big to start the series at home with a W.

What a weird strike 3 to end it. Vogt 3 steps toward the mound, then stops and turns, then ump calls it.

I guarantee the ump had already called it with his voice......some just take awhile to ring them up

Broxton looks like he gave up on that ball.

Knebel all over the place.

If you're talking about the double in the 9th, I think he just realized he didn't have the angle and Perez might dive for it, so he needed to be in position to play it off the wall if need be.

Corey appears to be 1 of those guys who needs to pitch regularly to be sharp.....or so it seems

Barnes had no,issues

WOW!!! What a win. Knebel needs to quit making me age 50 years when he pitches with only a 0ne run lead.

So that's actually 41 straight for Knebel relative to Chapman's record of 49, right?

What a game! Exciting defensive play and Knebel with a strikeout to end the game. Vogt put on a show for his new ballclub at home.

As Ueck said it was a dandy.

Broxton was on a dead sprint all the way through it. He did everything but lay out for it.

It looks odd because Vogt had to stop and turn around to make sure, so he must not have heard anything.

Broxton made a good effort and almost got it. Knebel's last pitch was great, before that not so much.

I am surprised there are not enough cameras to catch whoever threw the baseball. Weird that nobody in stands saw anything.

Good to see them come through in a close game, especially after the two tough losses. Garza was pretty solid today too, just some cheap hits. It's going to take a huge effort from the rest of the rotation to make up for the loss of Anderson, so far so good after Jimmy's great start yesterday and Garza's start today.

Or the other two thrown onto the field. It's embarrassing when this happens at your team's homefield. I mean it's not as bad as what happened at Atlanta a few years ago, but still bad.
