Walkoff for Villar?

I would guess so. He'll walk off the field after he strikes out to end the game.

At two pitches not close to the zone.

The Brewers did the right thing and gave the Miller Park crowd what they came for.

I didn't expect the offensive slump to last so long.

Broxton put a Brinson jersey on? Looks like the exact same guy to me, hole in his bat and can't touch wildly hittable pitches.

Dress it up all you want about a great battle, all it was was a complete choke job. As always. What do we have, one vintage late inning moment for this offense this entire season? The bomb by Pina against the Mets? That's literally the only one I can think of.

I completely agree with you on the choke job. This offense has flat out disappeared and choke when the game is on the line.

Thames went back to back games hitting dingers. That was clutch. Other than that, a bunch of turds past the 8th inning.

I honestly think this LU is missing Vogt right now..He's a veteran, and I think he'd have delivered tonight at some point.

Makes the case crystal clear the need is the bullpen, not the starting pitching. In almost all of our games recently we have had leads only to have the bullpen blow the game. Hopefully the price for someone like Britton will come down closer to the deadline. We need to be able to win these 2-1, 3-2 games if we want to make it/succeed in the playoffs.

I totally forgot about the Thames bombs. Absolutely. Regardless, I'm disgusted.

3-10 record in extra inning games this year. No wins when trailing after 8. Those things don't happen by pure dumb luck. Those things happen when you have a team full of guys who can't mentally handle the moment.

Playoffs??? If by some miracle this team made the playoffs, you better carry a 15 man pitching staff because you'll need about 20 innings in close late games before the offense will finally come through with a big hit.
