Where did Hernan Perez start on the Rizzo hit? Was he sitting in the bleachers?

It'd be nice to get one more from Davies.

Just about. For Rizzo they play the 2B in shallow RF and the RF a step or two in front of the warning track.

Don't run so hard to first Davies. Can't take another injury. Blue?

Rizzo made right play, but Perez made better.

Let's bring in Piña for Vogt, and put Phillips in RF with Perez in left. Maybe Sogard in at 2nd? Don't gift them anything on defense.

If we had known at the start of this road trip that the Brewers would sweep one series and be swept in the other, this is how we would have seen it play out, right???
Baseball is an amazing game!

Mission Accomplished!

Backs against the wall, needing to sweep Chicago and they get it done!

Corey! Another fine pitching performance for the save and the sweep.

Love it!

Back in it!

19 to go. What's it going to take to win the division? 88? Next 6 for the Cubs is Mets and then Cards. Crew has Pittsburgh and Miami. 4-2 probably keeps the Crew in it. Would love a 5-1 run, though.

Great win today. Great series.

How about 6-0, with the Cards skidding after beating the Cubs?

I'll take 6-0. Was trying not to get greedy. But, hell, why not get greedy? 75 wins was greedy in March!

First sweep at Wrigley since 2002. Just thrilled with the outcome of this series.

As long as Garza doesn't start a game, sky is the limit!

Unfortunately we have the lowly Pirates next so that's a series loss.
