Of course Counsel says they can make the playoffs and do well in the playoffs. Is he going to say we're not going to make the playoffs and will get swept if by some miracle we do make it?

I was pretty excited about seeing what the Brewers could do with Nelson/Anderson/Davies in the playoffs. Hard to imagine a deep run if they got in with Anderson/Davies/...Woodruff?Suter?Garza???

I'd happily watch them try though

I am not Shea Vucinich

Another homer for Rhys Hoskins tonight. He now has over half as many homers as games played.

Those don't count as RBI's for Thames because his OPS is irrelevant.

LOL --- fair play with that comment

I will say I'd be thrilled to be wrong re Thames. It is starting to look like I am

Stealing 3B with a lefty up is pretty easy these days because the 3B plays so far off the base with the shift.

Brett should have just let that ball hit him. It'd be live and the run would have scored for sure.

He owns this list now with 17 HRs in 33 games.

#2 is Walt Bond in 1962, 6 HRs in 12 games.

Keep scoring boys. Keep scoring. We'll pull Anderson and pitch him Sunday!

Ian Happ just got tagged out loafing it to 3B on a single to the OF, which negated the run that scored in front of him.

Love it.

Since Robertson in 1917 there have only been 4 other Giants (NY or SF) to lead the league in HRs in back to back season, can you name them?

We have Bonds Cepeda Mays, McCovey and Ott.

The last player is part of a better question, he is one of 2 players to the league in HRs in back to back seasons for 2 different teams (meaning he led his league in HRs at least 4 times). Can you name them?

I've had enough of trying to play guys out of position. Out of Thames/Aguilar/Sogard/Villar, it's not like too many of them are so hot that we can't find space for everyone that's raking. Put OFs in the OF and play the hot bats between 1B and 2B

Edit: I'm very ok with Phillips playing OF
