Penultimate game of the regular season! (I just enjoy having reason to use the word penultimate.)

BREWERS (85-75)

LF Ryan Braun (R)
3B Travis Shaw (L)
RF Domingo Santana (R)
C Stephen Vogt (L)
SS Orlando Arcia (R)
CF Brett Phillips (L)
RHP Junior Guerra (R)

CARDINALS (82-78)
2B Greg Garcia (L)
LF Tommy Pham (R)
SS Paul DeJong (R)
1B Jose Martinez (R)
RF Stephen Piscotty (R)
CF Harrison Bader (R)
3B Aledmys Diaz (R)
C Carson Kelly (R)
RHP Luke Weaver (R)

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

I won’t lie. I had to look it up. Let’s get a W and go Dodgers!

Take care of business and win your own game. If the Rockies win tonight then so be it.

Must win game and you go with Junior Guerra. What could go wrong?

I’m curious as to who people wanted to see start this game? Who are the better options?

Ya, I don't get why people are upset. The options are Davies on short rest or bullpen game. You need to win both games so it doesn't really make sense to start Davies today over tomorrow. And Guerra hasn't thrown more than a few innings in quite a while so it is in essence a bullpen game anyway.

Yeah I'm wondering the same. Who else is stretched out and available? Wilkerson? Jungmann? Garza? If those are the options I'm fine with Guerra (though I dont understand why Jungmann wasnt called up, even if his role would have been limited)
Guerra has looked good in relief recently. And this is likely somewhat of a bullpen game anyway, i doubt Guerra goes more than twice through the order. If even that.

Stearns could have acquired a starter in September without giving up much.

Yes, the playoffs basically start today, facing win or go home games for the next four days, plus help from the Dodgers, just to make the divisional round. Not likely to happen, but whatever happens it was a successful year.

I think starting Guerra is a better option than Wilkerson.

Go Brewers and I hope CC made a good decision.

I just hope that if Guerra falters in any way, he gets an extremely quick hook.

No room for error today, use what we have and hope to live for tomorrow...

Kershaw going for the Dodgers tonight. That should be good for us, right?

This FS1 pregame show is awful and that's almost exclusively because of Nick Swisher.

Not only a presence in the lineup but also a veteran presents TM.

Hoping Guerra can keep these guys in the ballpark today. He does that and he’ll do fine.

Obviously Karros hasn't seen our outfield defense this year. This guy is terrible.

Guerra couldn't get a single splitter in the zone for a strike that inning, hopefully he can find it next inning or the cards will be waiting fast ball.
