Great SI article on Kingham & his excellent debut against the Cardinals -- he worked a perfect 6.2 innings, & finished at 7 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 9K (98 pitches, 72 for strikes). The Crew might have their work cut out for them tonight.

Possibly, or Braun. Despite what Counsell said on Wednesday I'm expecting at least one of Braun or Shaw out of the lineup today.

Counsell said this was planned off day for Ryan Braun, giving him two days off. Calf not expected to be an issue. Should be back in there tomorrow.

A random question. Does anyone know how much playoff tickets straight from the Brewers would cost? Is it remotely close to regular season, similar to NFL? If anyone has any info from previous experience that’d be great. All internet tells me is secondary sales from stub hub.

Don't know exact prices, but they are high, but less than secondary market. MLB sets the price.

Counsel just plain can not allow himself to leave Sogard on the freaking bench. It is just asinine! (I fully expect Sogard to now go 4 for 5 with 4 RBIs and a homer tonight)

Bill S. just said Braun is out, still nursing that calf injury. Did Bill not listen to Counsell earlier?

So he'll be put on the DL tomorrow.

"You're not going to have him when you want him and you're going to run out of games. He can't pitch 90 games. It's just not going to work. If anyone thinks it's going to work, show me how."- Craig Counsell on Josh Hader.

If it truly was a scheduled off day for Braun, that would probably mean he is available to pinch hit, right?

Pirates showing some patience with the hitter's strike zone. Watch the Brewers go down in order with Kingham only throwing seven pitches.
