Uecker makes a great point, Cishek should not get warmup pitchers. That's BS

I really don't get why teams don't do what Maddon just did more often.

Other than it being extremely annoying and against what I believe should be against the rules, I agree.

Duensing twists an ankle chasing a fly ball, or makes a dreadful throw allowing an inside the park home run.

Now Duensing going to left...

First two pitches way outside... Makes sense to try to keep him from pulling anything

Why is against the rules?? Just two guys switching spots on D. No issue. Make them pay.

Wonder how many times this would occur if a pitcher did hurt themselves.

Because a pitcher can't throw? It's not Lester

...it is not against the rules. I’m against bringing in relievers for one batter. It’s killed offense in the game and pace of play. This is why I said that I believe it should be against the rules.

This should be obvious. Making a throw from the outfield is way different than throwing a pitch. He's also in a rush, different level of pressure on the throw.

Not that he can't do it, it's just less second nature to a pitcher versus a guy playing there everyday.

Now will Duensing get warmups when he comes back to pitch to Yelich? That shouldn't be allowed

Arcia hasn't run the bases in a month, Cain letting him practice.

I can recall Phil Garner putting Tony Fossas in left field when he managed the Brewers. I think it was mostly because our bullpen was pretty bad at the time.

Maddon always seems to be step ahead of everyone. Puts Contreras out there just in time. I don't like how smug he can be but the dude is a good manager.

Cisheck got warm up pitches coming back in, don't see why they would've stopped Duensing.
