That is about as good as a 1-7 lineup as we can get without a trade for a better SS.

My lineup prediction for today.

Cain
Yelich
Machado
Shaw
Aguilar
Thames
Miller
Nottingham

Just kidding, or wishful thinking. Swap Machado for Saladino, Aguilar in front of Shaw batting 3rd, Saladino 7th in front of nottingham.

Lineup just posted. Except for Perez hitting #7 at SS, you nailed it.

I love this lineup too.
Perez is great in the 7th hole.
I think you can't go wrong with either batting 7th.
Nottingham has some power so maybe he can be an upgrade at the 8 hole

We finally got off the schnide at 15 games over. it's up to 18 now
Maybe we can go 5-3 or 6-2 in the next 8 games.
I think we will score over 5 runs a game in that span

I'm loving the timing on Realmuto going on paternity leave. Marlins are going to struggle to score without him.

The bold alone is a fair statement. Realmuto missing magnifies the problem.

I am still hoping Realmuto ends up a Brewer. They need him to catch for years instead of a Machado rental where he might not do well with NL pitching and/or get hurt after Stearns trades valuable prospects.
That said I also hope Nottingham is a very good catcher. He's got his chance starting tonight.

Didn't the Marlins just put up 10 against the Nats?

Methinks Realmuto already scored.

Enough of the hypothetical trades...let’s start this road trip off with a W!

That Marlins line up is awfully ugly without Realmuto and Dietrich.

Funny to see all the seats visible on TV empty behind the plate. smart to not take Marlin Man's hundreds of thousands of dollars. I've also seen this at Yankee Stadium, I'm guessing they might have a pricing issue there

Yes, those Yankee Stadium seats are $1000 to $1500 each.

Listen to the roar of that crowd after Castro's leadoff double. Deafening.
