Why would Anderson just not finish this game? Counsel is always looking to use 5 guys a night. It is madness.

Wish we would have just stuck with Chase to the finish line.

I'm thinking Wilson is going on paternity leave very soon. Otherwise no reason to use him here.

I'm guessing so he could use him for multiple innings in the near future???

Perhaps?

May also end up starting for Peralta.

Claudio. lol

This is going to end up being a Hader appearance before we even know what hit us.

Best move was to leave Anderson in there, he was dealing...

To be fair, some of these runs should be unearned because of Jesus's horrible defensive attempt.

Dang it ... we're going to plow through all out non-crappy relievers tonight, aren't we?

I know, "non-crappy" is somewhat relative.

So he's leaving so we have to use him? The guy in the game was doing just fine. I don't understand that logic. I get what your saying but if true is bad call.

Extend your strike zone, Gyorko. Don't complain

"You're not going to have him when you want him and you're going to run out of games. He can't pitch 90 games. It's just not going to work. If anyone thinks it's going to work, show me how."- Craig Counsell on Josh Hader.

8-0 lead and it’s going to be nail biting time until the final out.

I was disappointed to see Thames hit for Anderson, but he did pitch a couple of innings on Sunday and is probably a leading candidate to start Saturday.

Bringing Claudio in pretty much guarantees that the tying run will be at the plate this inning.

ETA- Thank goodness Claudio didn’t come in then.

Anyone else laugh at Bill saying the Cardinals cut the lead in half when it went from 6 to 4?

Cards' fans wear jorts.
