Pitcher batting 8th! Now for CC to really go at it and have Woodruff hit 7th and Arcia 8th.

Interesting line-up. Glad we are giving Thames a chance to win that 1B job outright.

The numbers make this look like a pretty even pitching match up.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

Interesting indeed. Woodruff in the 8 hole? Why isn’t he hitting cleanup? What is Counsell thinking?

I don't mind Woody hitting 8th at all...I am not a big fan of Arcia at #7 though.

For anyone interested, the Mets are offering complimentary ticket exchanges for the rain-delayed game last night. I doubt they’ll be good seats, but it’s a nice gesture for those who weren’t able to enjoy the game.

Counsell is an idiot for not putting Woodruff and his insane OBP in the lead-off spot.

Cards' fans wear jorts.

I really like Gamel as a #9 hitter from the standpoint I think he can be a decent OBP guy.

Geez, Syndergaard's ponytail is just putrid looking on a professional baseball player.

Agreed!

The Mets defense is putrid for professional baseball players, too, apparently.

My favorite part was Cain slapping d'Arnaud‘s chest protector as he rounded third base.

It's been a while since I've seen a throw so unnecessary as that throw by Alonso. The fielder he threw the ball to was further away from 2nd base than Cain was.

Strike 'em out throw 'em out. Beautiful.

Other than grooving one to McNeil, liked seeing woody work the corners with his FB. If he can do that with some consistency look out.

I think someone mentioned this earlier this week, but coming into this series the Brewers had played 24 of their last 33 games against the Dodgers and Cardinals (going back to last season). It’s nice to have that stretch over with and now facing some different, albeit still tough, opponents.

I really hope Gamel doesn't die on Game of Thrones tomorrow.

That would mean a lot more Ryan Braun in the OF.
