Lots of roster moves today.

Wilkerson to the 10 day IR
Recalled Donnie Hart from AAA
Purchased contract of Jay Jackson from AAA

Glad Jackson will get his shot!

Hart = meh.

Bye bye Alex Wilson.

Part of me feels a little bad for Wilson, as he just had a kid. But professional baseball isn't a right. You need to perform, especially as a limited ceiling middle reliever. I too am interested in seeing what Jackson can do. Numbers in AAA have been good so far.

Agree on Hart. I'm sure he's pretty low on the potential DFA list.

Excited to see what Jackson can do. No Yelich today, going to be interesting to see how the offense fares without him. Grandal hitting in Yeli's #2 spot, and Gamel playing out in RF.

Absolutely no idea why Braun is still hitting in the three spot. I don't really have a problem with him playing four or five days a week, but the days of him being a three-hitter are way gone

I mean, look at the rest of the lineup. You could move Moustakas up but even that's not a great move with a lefty pitcher. After that your options are Aguilar, Perez, Gamel, Arcia and Davies. Braun may be the best option, sadly.

Cards' fans wear jorts.

This line-up looks pretty unimpressive. Probably means we put up double digits!!!

No kidding. I feel like that'll benefit Davies more, but yea...huge.

Man he needed that. I was going to say, "jesus, he needed that." which would've also worked.

The guy who racked up OPS figures of .837 and .890 wasn't always gonna be in a rut.

Christian who?

As bad as some of these guys have looked, Arcia has looked much better.

Good for Aguilar. We will need him to start against LHP. Thames can take the RHP right now though.

No such thing as a quick inning tonight.
Davies is getting through it but way too many pitches.
