Claudio, Jackson, Hart for the 8th? JJ to close? That's what the pen looks like.

This could be exciting.

Excited, anxiety.... it's all the same, right?

Not a bad return to MLB after 4 years away; striking out Nolan Arenado.

Jackson's got it on lock. Happy to see him up. Great, quick, debut to get the jitters out.

Nice outing for Claudio.

A very nice one - and 25 pitches means he is available Wednesday?

A reliever with good stuff that doesn't immediately frustrate you? I like this guy.

Jackson nice outing. Hopefully we don't have a Wilson situation and he can keep it going.

Way way way better stuff than Wilson, last 3 years also pitched well.

Sac fly would bring home a welcome insurance run, and Perez attempts a bunt on his 0-1 pitch? I don't get it.

Hart throws left handed like I bowl left handed. I'm not left handed.

Wow ... is it possible that Hart might be useful?

I have more faith in Jackson, but so far he's through 3.2 clean. Who knows, but surely we've seen worse.

Jesus replaces Yelich tonight to be the MVP. Good way to start the series.

It was a nice effort from the Brewers pen maybe that can continue. It was also nice to see a starter go more than 5 .

I assume the infield was back on the right side and Braun could walk home with a decent bunt.

An effective but inefficient start from Davies to set us up nicely. 2 excellent innings from Claudio. JJ #2 gets the nervous first outing out of the way, and Hart finishes it off. Really good night by the pitching staff overall without needing to use the big guns. But Jesus Aguilar finally getting his first HR is the biggest takeaway of the night. Looked so relieved, and looked so much better afterwards. Seems to like hitting against the Rockies! Hoping that it was mainly a psychological thing, like it seems to have been for Chris Davis. Yes, he's likely not the first half 2018 guy, but I see no reason at all he wouldn't be at least an average hitter, probably slightly better.

I love winning opening games of series without using Hader.
