Braun hasn’t looked washed up the last few days.

It coincided with my comment > with Braun’s permanent age related regression we need a hard platoon with Gamel.

That’s crazy. We need about four more guys to do this now.

6 hits for Braun. That has to be a career high, right?

Braun 6
Rest of team 5

His batting average has to be up close to 100 points this week

Just in this game, he overtook Cain and Grandall's avg, correct?

Lefty on the mound tomorrow. Will be interesting to see if Braun plays. Long night for that scrub.

I think this game is where some folks tuned the corner.

Burnes did well in the pen.

Braun had six hits. He's rebounding.

Shaw got that walk at a critical time.

Gio pitched well, and looks to be in his 2018 form with the Crew.

Jeffress did well in an inning.

Gonna need Sunday's starter to do well.

If only Braun would have gone 4-6 with 2 walks instead of 6-8...then maybe he'd be showing signs of life

Less than a week ago, some of even the most supportive Braun guys were starting to question whether he should have been playing as much as he was. Baseball is maddenly fun.

Braun with a 6 hit night and the walk off hit to win the longest game in Miller Park history! What a special night for him and the Brewers!

Grandal .283 before game, .264 after
Braun .226 before game, .263 after

Wow! Crazy shift for one game! A few games ago Grandal was hitting .300+ and Braun was hitting below .200

When he has his command under control, Taylor Williams is an excellent reliever. I imagine he's going to go down tomorrow, but tonight's game was a great step toward getting him right.

I'd still say that. Braun (like any player) is still *very obviously* capable of a hot streak. He hit really well the last few weeks of the season last year and helped carry the team into the playoffs.

If Braun plays 120 games and puts up an .800 OPS I'd be pleased. If he even puts up a .750-ish OPS with decent power numbers he's probably not outlandishly hurting the team.

Counsell said Chacín would have pitched next although he had thought about using Hernan Pérez. The latter would have left them with an interesting shortstop situation.

The only thing worse than playing an 18 inning game is losing an 18 inning game.

Thank goodness we were able to win this before Chacin would've been brought in. Well done Brauny! Pitchers too!

My guess should have been Braun to SS, Woodruff to either 1b or LF
