If we lose Cain, there's gonna be a lot of games where Yelich's solo shots are the only runs we score. Hope he's ok

Have to hold your breath on Cain. That’s the kind of HBP that breaks hands and puts a guy out for a couple of months.

Who are the candidates to join the outfield if Cain goes on the DL?

There isn't a good internal option. That simple.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

Best is probably recalling Saladino and putting Perez out there. Or just bringing up Taylor, though he is slumping badly.

Can't we just have Hiura learn the outfield?

Good god, a lot of you go to worst case scenarios quickly. Brewers facing a couple of months of Yelich solo shots providing the only offense because Cain is on the IL already, apparently.

Channeling my inner Clancy:

Shaw to 1B, Hiura to 2B, Moustakas to 3B, Thames to RF, Yelich to CF

Which part of it is that ridiculous? Direct hits on batters hands commonly end up with broken bones. Also, it's been pretty much the yelich and cain show on offense as usual; I'm just making fun of how poorly most of the hitting has been which as you can see in the box score is pretty accurate.

A ground ball to the right side Hernan. My little league team does it all the time. Jeez.

They may have to get creative.

You really have to think about demoting Shaw to the bench. A quarter of the season is almost gone and not only is he still an automatic out, he's not even hitting the ball all that hard. Hiura can't get up soon enough.

Shaw still has options. Probably time to get him out for a couple weeks to figure things out and plug Hiura in.

Shaw's launch angle is a little too angled.

I believe Shaw will come around but platooning him and Aguilar is not a bad idea. They should be doing everything they can to trade Thames right now whether Cain is healthy or not.

Moose to SS so Braun can reclaim what is rightfully his.
