3rd and 4th pitch of Shaws AB show he's still cold.

Well, if tonight is any indication, they can keep on letting someone else pitch the first inning or two for Freddy.

Or, Freddy has proven he can be an effective relief pitcher.

This was not a traditional relief outing. He knew he was getting the 3rd inning on. I don't think I would trust Peralta in a traditional relief role quite yet.

True, but still threw it real well coming out of the pen. I believe he’ll be one of our multi-inning pen arms at some point. This team working towards building a superpen for the playoffs.

Great time for Burch to get rid of some nerves. Let him finish this out?

Great job tonight Peralta.

I like the Curve at 81 though.

Houser > Burch

Fun fact: Burch Smith made it back to the big leagues last year by tricking the Royals into believing he was Josh Hader.

Thames is going to fly away whipping the bat around over his head like a helicopter every time he swings tonight...

The KC version of Burch Smith reminds me of a favorite childhood uncle who always had the cool fireworks. And a sweet Camaro up on blocks in the front yard.

Ridiculous. TC was the helicopter pilot, though I do see some resemblance.

And a Z28 with flames on the sides.

Since the 18-inning game on Saturday, all Brewer relievers, besides Peralta, are below 20 total pitches. Hopefully they can have a normal bullpen game on Wednesday and be at full strength heading into Wrigley.
