Yelich is good at hitting baseballs.

Kind of surprising how bad the Nationals are playing defense.

Sounds like a little league error from Uke, how bad was it?

It was bad. LF looked like he had it easily a few feet inside the foul line (it wasn't a difficult play, just a routine fly) and then it landed where he wasn't, a few feet behind him. He overran it somehow, even though it looked like he was camped under it.

This does not appear to be a game where mediocre Nats pitching is going to shut the Brewers down...Shaw draws a nice walk there.

Boy, Hellickson doesn't appear to have anything - I know his changeup is still a pretty good pitch, but it looks like batting practice for the most part. If he's not painting corners he's going to get hit hard.

I can't remember Pina doing much other than striking out recently.

Hellickson has been bad this inning, but that third strike to Pina was nice.

Has anyone ever been pinch hit for in the first inning? He should have been first. [smile]

Yeah, but on an 0-2 count I'm not sure if Pina could've asked for a better pitch to hit - low inside changeup from a righty?

Atta boy, Arcia. Here comes Woodruff to clear the bases.

Pretty huge 2 out hit by Arcia to pick up Pina, grab a pair of RBIs and clear the pitcher.

Man. How long is Martinez going to keep this job? This team is too talented to be playing like this. They look terrible.

But they aren't talented right now.

Woodruff with a 4 run lead. Just throw strikes for a few innings and see where we're at. No BBs please.

Pretty good starting pitching. Pretty good lineup minus Turner right now. They shouldn't be 2nd worst record in NL. Schrezer Strausburg and Corbin alone should get you 500.

Also sounded like the RF was surprised Thames was sent home and double clutched. You have to know the runner is very likely to be sent on any hit with the pitcher coming up next.

I wonder how many times I've confused Yan Gomes with Yosmani Grandal and vice versa.

He should of been fired mid- season last year. National league east full of terrible managers. Calloway terrible, kapler’s phillies team quit on him the last 5 weeks of last year. Mattingley gets the marlins to play above their talent level, and Snitger is why I’m picking the braves to repeat.
