Aguilar has to be thanking Shaw right now. Aguilar is still a trash can but it’s overlooked because fans can only focus on how terrible one player is at a time.

I think Aguilar showed signs of life... but has the average going up .001 per week. So he's definitely back on the radar after we assumed he'd go on a hot streak. Some one has to get going or get gone. Pina additionally is just putrid. I get that you're a backup catcher but yikes.

This is true--but Aguilar actually looks competent most of the time. Has an excellent 2 strike approach. Shaw hasn't hit a ball hard since April--and he was hitting poorly then too.

Every game that the brewers have played at Wrigley that has gone at least 14 innings we've won! Also I'm pretty sure that 18 inning game was finished in less time than we are at.

The St. Luis game that was delayed for like 14 hours, is now in the 7th inning.

The bullpen is not our weakness, that starting pitching is. Till it proves otherwise, on paper, it’s a pretty bad group.

Will be interesting to see what the Cubs do when/if Chatwood gets tired. Montgomery pitched 5 innings (71 pitches) on Thursday. I'm guessing they go to a starter, but I'm sure they don't really want to do that...

Hmmm. Determining the shortest midget is always a difficult task.

WP Kinsella could write a novel about this game.

Travis Shaw might as well not even have a bat.

It's tough watching Chatswood be so wild and then get borderline calls.

The good news is that we haven't grounded into a do in 3 innings. Baby steps.

I made a sort of in jest joke about Travis Shaw being a left handed Casey McGehee on another board a week or two ago. But damn does it seem like that's what he is right now. Not highly touted had a couple of good years and then just fell off a cliff.

Cards' fans wear jorts.

Ernie Banks demands 135 inning game.

Clever!

Dead baseball players hit better than this.

Giving chatwood more confidence than he deserves.

That first pitch to Baez was one you called a strike quite a few times on Brewers hitter ump. That is why the Brewers said something

He should've been struck out.

Well that was about as bad of a 1-2 pitch you can throw

That will happen eventually when your offense pisses around for 15 innings.
