I don’t, but I’ll stay up for it just in case!

Perez looks like a utility player out there in the corner—he’s not exactly a natural. And I’m starting to think it wasn’t just the compensatory pick keeping Grandal’s price down this winter. My goodness. This first quarter of the season has been some kind of trial, and the Crew isn’t doing itself any favors.

What is best in life? To crush the Cardinals, Cubs, and Manny Machado, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentation of their fanboys.

Junior was due for this.

Due for an inherited runner after a passed strike 3?
Due for yet another guy we put in the OF who isn't one to blow a catch?

He wasn't sharp by any means but 1 at the most should have scored there.

I keep telling myself that all they have to do is get through the next couple weeks, and it will be time to sink their teeth into that tender June schedule.

His horrid OF defense would certainly fit in nicely tonight.

Odd, I can't wait for his contract to tick off the books.

Yeah, I think there are some encouraging signs, still. The pitching is stabilizing a bit after a horrendous start, and despite only plating four runs so far tonight, the offense has been fairly productive. Under normal circumstances, getting sixteen men on will be a pretty good showing. But tonight is just a bit of an exception.

Between the glacial pace and the missed opportunities this is “one to forget” as they say that in reality won’t be easily forgotten if the rest of this 4-game series goes sideways.

Well at 43 games last year we were only 1 game better. On to the next, got to stop giving games away.

Why waste a year of control for two extra weeks? Pretty much he was up to start the year to make it worth it, or now at this point wait till it’s for sure past, i e end of the month.

I'm good with that.

Just catching up, but a reminder that Hiura’s extra year of control was secured once the Brewers got past mid-April. At this point the Super Two status just determines whether he will be able to go to arbitration four times versus three times.

Spots like that should just be reserved for Barnes. Down by 3 in the 8th. That is the perfect low-leverage opportunity where Barnes looks like a future hall of famer.

7 singles, 3 doubles, a triple and a homer, along with 8 walks and 3 steals. Only 1 gidp. Most nights that's probably good for like 10 runs. Just one of those days I guess.

Missed the game working an all-nighter and it sounds like I got the better end of the deal.
It must have been one frustrating game to watch.
