I really want the Brewers to put together a rally here. Not because I think they need the insurance runs, but more so just because want to see Keston hit again.

I did too. Now I am sad...though barnes is coming in so who knows.

Thames with a decent play defensively!

And now Arcia is mocking his body language on the field. LOL

Barnes is an absolute waste of roster space.

Because he can't protect a freaking 5 run lead, Hader has to begin to get loose.

Geez.

This happens all the time. Get rid of barnes. He has zero purpose

Barnes makes games more stressful than they should be

I’m hoping this the last time I ever see Barnes pitch for the crew again. Can’t stand him. Williams eligible soon, thank goodness.

Barnes must be close to a record for % of pitches that hit the dirt

When all is said and done, what a great first game for Hiura. Lots of guys make it to the bigs, but few have a first game like this one...

Well done!

4.75 runs scored
4.34 runs allowed

Back over .4 run diff.

Anderson can replace Barnes any day now.

Great game 1 for Hiura. Didn't look over matched at all.

Anderson on rehab, Hart and Williams both down the required time as of tomorrow. That should be it for Barnes for awhile.

Cain Yelich on base twice all game.

Braun now over 800 ops
Moose over 800 ops
Aguilar on base 3 of 5 times
Grandal back over 800 ops
Hiura the new team high 1417 ops
Arcia over 250 avg and 700 ops

And Burnes still leads the league in homers allowed

Lost in the excitement of the Hiura debut was yet another very nice outing from Brandon Woodruff. The 5 walks weren't ideal, but he managed to scatter them enough where it didn't cost him. He's really come on in the last month. The Brewers' starting pitching is in a very good place right now. Pretty much since when Gio was signed. He's been a nice stabilizing pillar for the rotation.

They are going to have some interesting decisions soon on Anderson and Nelson.

I'd rather watch Barnes pitch than Shaw hit right now, though.
