The short answer to that question is Keston Hiura.

He's definitely making a case to stay up with the big club. It's just nice having another bat in the lineup who shows some modicum of balance.

Ugh ... Arcia needs to be better than that in that situation. Bad at bat.

(Goes to dictionary.com to look up the definition of modicum)

Agreed

Be patient. This game will be full of them.

What's the point of even having a "blocking the plate" rule if you never, ever call it?

Absolutely terrible fundamental baseball with 2nd and 3rd no out. Arcia has absolutely no situational awareness at the plate. Then a safety squeeze and Gamel out by 10 feet. Lousy decision by Counsell.

I repeat every single game but this is the worst baserunning team in the majors and it's not close. It's unbelievable.

This inning had so much promise but they could only produce a modicum of runs.

I hope this becomes the case. I like what I see.

Braun is something like 1 for 12 career against Castillo, even without the knee...not a bad day to let Gamel take some hacks.

Of course Gamel should start, but he already would in place of Yelich. Braun is a much better option than Perez, 12 PAs doesn't change that. But if he's hurt, he's hurt; my comment was on the assumption he was being rested.

Is he though?...2 for 2 with a double already [wink]

I think I'd be mad if Arcia swung 3-0 here...even if he hit it over the fence. Just set the bat down young man...

Well he swung at ball 4 twice but hit it the second time so I guess all is well that ends well

So much better from Orlando. Yeah, he probably swung at ball 4, but he managed to get enough to inside-out a single.

Swings at ball 4...at least 3 inches inside...ropes a double. Man this guy makes me shake my head but I'll gladly take the 2 runs.

Nice, long at bat by Arcia. Ensures the Brewers will be in this game and Castillo can't last too much longer. Will be a battle of the bullpens.

Part of me thinks...I don't want to batter the bullpen too badly as they face the Cubs next. But.....we need to win. Also Reds have a day off tomorrow so they should be fine.
