So you don’t think that some of the decisions that have been made lately have been questionable at best?

Kinda sounded like the devils advocate answering those questions.

Not at all. I never said I agreed totally with those moves. I'd love to see Hiura on this team and Jacob Barnes not on it. Just pointing out that every one of those questions can be answered using just a little bit of logic as to how this team operates.

Agree with a lot of what you say Joey but I think Super 2 was a huge factor if not the biggest factor. To answer your question when they decide to bring him up for the first time isn't as big of a factor as how much time they let him spend on the active roster this hear as they can call him up and send him down as much as they want to get under the estimated cutoff.

I just don't know. They had to know that there would be a lot of fans upset if they called him up, only to send him down in short order once Shaw came back. So then it would seem to me either that Super 2 wasn't an issue, or if it was, the team has some brass balls when it comes to fan reaction. It does make me wonder just how well Hiura's would have had to do for them to say "Screw it, he's staying." Was that ever an option, or was Hiura going back down inevitable regardless of how well he did?

My point is Saladino would have been an easy call which the fanbase would have totally understood, while keeping Hiura's Super 2 status a non-factor. They didn't go that route, and it has somewhat opened a can of worms. Whether they care is the question I guess.

I'm a patient person but I'm completely done with Shaw and Aguilar. We desperately need one of them to wake up, but it feels like it's never going to happen.

I don't wanna be that guy that jinxes us, but Peralta's command seems very good his first handful of pitches. Curve has a ton of bite to it as well. Promising first batter for sure

I got a little nervous, after my comment he threw 3 straight outside FB. Overall, really nice start from Peralta. No k's, but mostly weak contact and his command is pretty good. Also velocity has been 93-95 and one 96.

Our splits are becoming even more favorable against LHP.

3-run first should do it today.

I guess the Brewers' mourning period following Hiura's demotion must be done.

The common theme so far for is Marlins hitters rolling over on fastballs away for easy groundouts to SS/3b
