Btw. We might not need to win 90 games to win the Division this year

Small Sample Alert but Thames is 0 for 7 with 5 k's against Tanner. Almost wants me to put Yaz at first tonight despite Thames' (Thames's?) surge lately.

Roark has been so good against RH hitters this year, I think you have to go Thames. I'm frankly a bit annoyed that Gamel isn't in the lineup somewhere.

Annoyed no Gamel... How about Braun and Cain batting ahead of Hiura yet again?

Looking through the lineups it does not appear as though Hiura has batted ahead of Cain or Braun in any of his starts to this point.

I'd imagine it stays that way until Keston goes on some kind of tear.

Because Braun and Cain have been better? In avg, or obp or ops?

I'm sick of treating Braun like a legacy. Took them forever to get Grandal and Moose ahead of him in the order. Hiura's next. Batting in front of the pitcher? Batting Arcia pseudo lead off? It's clumsy all around.

Chase Anderson in GABP. Not a good combination. This could get ugly.

"You're not going to have him when you want him and you're going to run out of games. He can't pitch 90 games. It's just not going to work. If anyone thinks it's going to work, show me how."- Craig Counsell on Josh Hader.

Chase in Cinci is not a great fixture for a win.

Ervin gets an extra base due to Braun's pathetic effort to reach down for the ball.

They're probably right; he could have slid into the ball and knocked it down, though, I thought. As it turns out, it didn't hurt us. Whew! [smile]

I swear we have had the worst bunting pitchers in baseball for about 10 years.

I'd have rather had Anderson fail to get the bunt down like they usually do than for him to bunt it right back to the pitcher. Rather have Hiura on base instead.
