0-2 going into the deadline, two games back of 1st. Could be better...

What is best in life? To crush the Cardinals, Cubs, and Manny Machado, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentation of their fanboys.

Sit on a low fastball from Hader and hope ... it's happened 10 times this season now ... [sad]

Crap!

No offense and Freddy and Hader both give up long balls. Not a great recipe.

Two runs ain't gonna do it most nights. Offense needs to step it up. It was crap in the Cubs series as well.

Honestly looked like Cain mistimed that one a bit. Might have been uncatchable anyway.

Lefty Lefty goes yard. Drats.

Sell! See ya' Moose! See ya' Grandy! Let's build this team with contact hitters and speed! We could use a few good arms, too.

Hader now allowing 1.8 HR/9. Can't throw your fastball 90% of the time and expect to get away with it.

Cards' fans wear jorts.

Just think there’s too many holes this year. Hope we stand pat or even sell tomorrow.

If we aren't sure we can extend him we better move him. Like it or not if Moose is gone next year we need to get Shaw going.

If I had my choice between the 2... I'd pay Grandal. His bat at the C position is absurd.

I just don't see how Stearns can buy. There just isn't enough to think this team can do it. I just don't know how you can do it.

I could see a bit of both. Buy some filler rentals with rule 5 eligible guys. Sell a couple expiring blue chips.

With the Mets and Reds getting into the pitcher market one of two things is happening. Buyers are lowballing, or the price will spike sky high on pitchers.

Chase anyone?

I'm hoping to see Wilkerson get a start tomorrow.

I hope this doesn’t prove to just be Déjà vu of the Angels and Padres weekday series sweeps earlier this season.

Lyles officially gets the ball tomorrow. Hard to expect much, but it's baseball, and funny stuff happens. It isn't going to make a difference how he pitches, though, if the bats can't find something.

I was really hopeful that this team could go on a run and add a few valuable pieces, but at this point I just don't see how Stearns can buy. Although if you get to the playoffs anything can happen, I have a hard time seeing this team get much of anywhere. I don't think he'll sell though and I don't think standing pat is the right move either. It's tough.

What a deflating loss
