And now Albers is warming. Well done, Craig. You probably wanted the groundball guy about 20 minutes ago, but what do I know?

Of course. Presser after the game he will mumble something about we felt good about Junior there. Juniors been good against Righties when the moon is a full crescent and the humidity is 50%.

And a good start to the inning gets nixed with the Grandal DP ball that a 6 year old could have turned. So much for that Saturday classic being a turning point ... unless it was a turning point from mediocre to ... well ... this.

I don't even watch the NFL anymore. The last time I watched a full NFL game was in 2011. Mostly it is just watching a quarter here and there but I will watch the Badgers here and there when they are on.

I just can't watch the NFL anymore it is just boring.

As a non-football fan, I am doomed to twiddle my thumbs for three months until college basketball starts. It was such a seamless transition last year.

Turns out it was the end. Doesn't get any worse than next game down 13-0 and then next game almost being no hit. If Doolitle does his job this is a 6 game losing streak and we are talking free agency.

I’ve watched the majority of the games this season, but it’s becoming increasingly tougher to justify. Brewers baseball just isn’t much fun to watch right now, unfortunately.

Cardinals announcers blasting Braun for his outfield play. Annoying as all heck, but true in this instance. The season on the line and he dogs it, unforgivable. If I’m Counsell, that’s the last time he’s in LF this year. 1B vs lefties or pinch hit. Grisham should be playing every game from here on out anyhow including all LHP.

If Trea Turner doesn't swing at ball 4 twice too.

I was giving CC the benefit of doubt on not using Albers, maybe he was saving him until the gas cans were done instead of potentially wasting him.... but I guess he was being saved for a 3 run deficit. Not a fan of CC at all right now.

The Swinging Sisters of St. Francis could drop a nickel on this Brewer bullpen.

Granted some of them swing a pretty mean stick.

Why is your best reliever in the game now?? I have defended Counsell all year. He doesn't have a lot to work with but I'm changing my mind. He may need to go. He just doesn't have it. He gets another year but dude needs to play the show or something. Get it together on the pitching decisions.

They are putting a lot of bad baseball on tape, that's for sure. They've shown flashes of the magic they had last year, but those flashes have been fleeting and far too few and far between. It's really too bad because, on paper, this is a very good team. It's really hard to peg the problems to one or two big issues, too. There are a bunch of small ones that are just piling up.

Any of the analytics guys know what the catch probability was on the "double" that Braun couldn't get to?

Albers pitching like he wants to know why he's in the game too.

Can't hit the strike zone unless it's a middle-middle BP fastball. Kinda looks like he belongs to me.

Brewers trudging to their sixth straight loss against the Cubs and Cardinals and falling into a deep hole in both the division and wild card races. They’ve scored a grand total of 11 runs in those 6 games, including 4 in a hopeless 11-4 loss.

That negative run differential turns out to be a fair reflection of what this team is about.

Somewhere Derek Johnson is smiling when he sees the box scores.

Sure, steal a base up 7-2. The Cardinal Way.

It just doesn't matter anymore. We can kill Counsell for his moves but the reality is he has NOBODY out there that he can trust. They have NOBODY in AAA. I mean they have to let Grandal and Moose go just to build a bullpen.
