No way I see that happening, not with our pathetic offense vs LHP(Maybe Braun can get homer happy in tonight’s or Saturday’s game?). Realistically hoping for 2 but expecting 1.

Need 2 of 3 for sure. Can't go into Labor Day 5 games back. 3 games back with our last 15 games is doable. Need to stay within striking distance.

I will agree for once that this is as must-win as it gets with a month left. They need to take 2 here. Of course, if they take 3, it really doesn't matter if they go 1-5 with Houston and the 4-gamer with the Cubs.

This stretch is it though. If they go 3-6, 4-5 in these next 9 you have to think it's over. They pretty much have to get hot right now and beat superior teams.

We won't make he playoffs but I would love a sweep of the Cubs and knock them down a peg or two for the second wild card.

"You're not going to have him when you want him and you're going to run out of games. He can't pitch 90 games. It's just not going to work. If anyone thinks it's going to work, show me how."- Craig Counsell on Josh Hader.

The Cubs lineup today (no Bryant, Rizzo, Contreras, Heyward or Zobrist), yikes. If we can’t beat that just call it a season.

So, not to long ago, we cut Perez, and now he is pretty much a starting member on our team. (starting at 3B today)

Do playoff contending teams waive guys, and bring them back as starters a couple weeks later?

Is our front office that confused as to the direction this team needs to be headed?

So many things wrong with this team and roster construction.

I'm a Stearns guy, but I hope a LOT of lessons were learned this season, and we don't repeat the things that obviously will keep us out of the playoffs...

Our lineup is worse. Yelich is just ok vs LHP, I know Pina doing good vs lefties this year, but, that bottom of our lineup is beyond gross, and compounding the problem is Anderson, the worst hitting pitcher I’ve ever seen. Braun and Hiura need to rake.

Well, Moose is hurt. They tried Saladino. They’ve tried Spangenberg. And Perez on the season is .262/.292/.429/.721 vs. LHP on the season which is passable right now. He’s also hit Quintana, while not great, the 3rd best on our team. Who would you like to see there?

DFA Hernan for Saladino. Try to catch lightning in a bottle for Saladino. No go for Saladino.

Hernan back.

Moustakas injured.

Utility/bench guys start when a starter is injured. At least Hernan gets to hit a lefty.

Pretty understandable to me. I don't see the big crime that has been committed by the front office.

Obviously, the Brewers will try to upgrade from Perez during offseason.

Zobrist hasn't been with their team the whole year. And have you seen the way Caratini has been playing lately for them? Quintana pitches extremely well for them at Wrigley. Hopefully, get the "good" Anderson today.

RHP on Sunday so if Moose is still out I'd assume Shaw is up for that game. Kind of pointless to bring him up now to face lefties the next two days

You can’t win if you don’t score. And in Wrigley Field the last couple of years scoring has been the Brewers biggest problem.

This pitching staff has mastered the bad 0-2 pitch.
