Sad that the outlier can’t be tolerated, all the like-minded can’t have their thought challenged. Instead we must be rid of him. Interesting.

[rolling eyes]

Well thought-out alternative ideas are very much accepted with open arms around here.

Yep. As much as I usually disagree with him, no one thinks Clancy should be banned.

Biggest win of the year. Stole this one. Even though this team is injured beyond belief, they are not dead, and played like it. Hiura will be back for the last 14 or so games, Woodruff the last week. An improved Nelson is back, Peralta has his control back, Suter is pitching better than he ever has, Guerra’s command and splitter is back, Pomeranz has been a great pickup, Albers Claudio Jackson add situational depth and Hader looks great. Tomorrow, the bullpen becomes the best in the league. And with the Freitas on board with Taylor in a few days, we should hit the Cubbies LHP better in MKE. We are not done.

They need to take one more tomorrow and get it to 3 GB. If they play well enough to make up 3 games on the Cubs after September 1st, that should be well enough to pass anyone else needed for WC2.

Guerra has looked terrific lately. There have been stretches this season where he looked like the worst reliever in the league. Volatile bullpens are volatile.

I think they said he abandoned his splitter for a while due to the tighter stitching on the baseballs, but now is throwing the splitter again.

I see the official scorer saddled guerra with the win. Must not have felt Pomeranz pitched effectively enough to earn it.

I know I left specifically because of you.
