You're missing the corner, Hamels. It's not the umpire's fault that you're missing it and he's calling it correctly.

Why isn't Pina the one making $18 million?

"You're not going to have him when you want him and you're going to run out of games. He can't pitch 90 games. It's just not going to work. If anyone thinks it's going to work, show me how."- Craig Counsell on Josh Hader.

Wish the wind was blowing in at 30 MPH with Davies pitching.

Pina’s nice second half is because he wasn’t asked to carry the load this year. He hasn’t worn down and is fresh. Hopefully the Brewers remember that this off season. He’s the best backup catcher in the league and it should stay that way.

Yeah I tend to agree. He's excellent in his role but needs regular rest over 162 games to maintain that.

How does this Cubbies team not lead the world in runs? I’ve never seen a team underperform it’s offensive talent like they do. It’s rather comical.

Our offensive has been under performing all year as well.

Yes, comical. So comical that they are in playoff position and we are scratching the bottom of the barrel of our 40-man just to be able to have enough warm bodies to finish the season.

Wait, I thought the Reds were wild card hunting? Now that’s comical.

Bauer’s ERA has to be over 8 now for the Reds. Entering Corbin Burnes territory.

Like who? When I look at the Cubs' lineup it seems like almost every player is exactly statistically where one would expect them to be. Bryant and Rizzo are right around their expected .900+ OPS. Baez played a little over his head last year but around .850 right where you'd expect. Schwarber is exactly the low average, high power guy he's always been.

Maybe expecting them to be a little over 664 runs for the season is reasonable, but I'd expect us to be over 632.

No surprise that both teams are well below average hitting with RISP relative to their overall offensive rating.

Been a couple weeks without a Yelich HR. 50 looking more on the side of unlikely now unless he goes on a tear.

For the Cubbies to only have scored 32 more runs than the crew is comical.

I mean come on. Let’s be honest here.

Both teams had stacked lineups on paper coming into the season. Both have underperformed with the bats pretty significantly. Trying to argue over who has sucked more is a fool's errand.
