Imagine if we had signed Kimbrel. He's been a 2 WAR (Yeah I know that's not how it works) for us so far by not signing him.

Great time to break the slump.

"You're not going to have him when you want him and you're going to run out of games. He can't pitch 90 games. It's just not going to work. If anyone thinks it's going to work, show me how."- Craig Counsell on Josh Hader.

I honestly thought that would be a routine fly ball.

Yes, Kimberly was always a bad idea for the Brewers. It just never made any sense.

So does Peralta come in?

How do you not beat that out?

Even with their resources that contract will be a bit of an albatross for the cubs if he doesnt turn it around. I hope he doesnt.

Hader it is......I think I'd do this too.....can't lose this one and the chances we have a lead late tomorrow is pretty slim

I dont get this move at all. Now you lose Hader for the entire Astros series. It's a 4 run lead. You don't call on Hader in a 1 run game in the 8th but you do with a 4 run lead in the 9th?

Did anyone notice that Timmons made no move to send Happ to 1st until Happ took off himself and then pointed to 1st, like "Oh I guess if you're going it must have hit you."

[sad] [embarassed]

My guess is that Hader was already ramped up throwing so they don’t want to sit him down. They might have seen it as he was already lost for tomorrow’s game.

No way that hit him.

Happ’s temper tantrum there after striking out was a cherry on top of this game. The ball didnt touch you, dude.

So Hader threw under 30 pitches combined the last two games. We will seee ya Tuesday when we are headed for a 2-game sweep!
