I'm not sure what good it's doing Shaw to keep running him out there against mlb pitching at this point. I mean sure he may run into one here and there but there is no evidence the guy belongs in the big leagues much less playing in important games. One of the worst offensive season in history.

Counsell's itchy trigger finger 3rd time through the order.

Man Lyles has been good. He's the reason this team still has any kind of postseason hope, however minute it is.

Yeah he's been amazing.

Perhaps our GM might know what he's going (i.e. Pomeranz and Black)

Pomeranz is really pitching well. Goodness Gracious what a veteran weapon to have from the left side.

Pomeranz has looked good too... two trades I was not thrilled with.

Jordan Lyles' final seven Pirates starts: 10.00 ERA.

Jordan Lyles' first seven Brewers starts: 2.56 ERA.

And Lyles......

Faria has been the least impressive of the pitching pickups. Perhaps the most long-term upside though.

Dubon has been starting every day for the Giants and, while obviously very small sample, performing quite well for the Giants as their starting 2B. Given that I don't think we're going to make the playoffs anyway, I'd still rather have kept Dubon. Obviously if we do make the playoffs and Pomeranz ends up being a huge part of it I'll be proven wrong on that.

Ray Black is likely a solid pen piece as well for the rest of this year and moving forward. That is not to be discounted.

I am pulling for Dubon. It would have been fun to see him get more of a shot with the Brewers. But I think they did decent in that deal.

This umpiring crew seems to despise Christian Yelich.

Astros haven't intentionally walked anyone all season, per Tom H.
