If Grandal really hit that 442 feet like they just said, I bet Fritos coulda hit it 500+ easy.

If Yelich gets to 50/30 will he win MVP?

Not even remotely close. I think that race is over unless Yelich goes nuts and carries us to the postseason.

And probably not even then.

Yes considering neither of those were strikes.

Davies is getting the same consideration.

No it is Bellinger's to lose at this point.

Davies not pitching the 6th?

C'mon Counsell, this is ridiculous. He is cruising, basically, and you want to get the bullpen involved when you could at least try and get one more inning from Davies. (76 pitches I think)

Stupid.

I think time will show Bellinger simply isn't on Yelich's level but team records carry a lot of weight. Can you imagine if we have consistently good 3/4 hitters next year?

Freitas has a pretty ugly setup and swing.

Freitas really knocked the snot out of that one.

"You're not going to have him when you want him and you're going to run out of games. He can't pitch 90 games. It's just not going to work. If anyone thinks it's going to work, show me how."- Craig Counsell on Josh Hader.

This is where it becomes frustrating, NEVER allowing your guys to go 3 times through the order, no matter the situation, no matter what the starter looks like. It's actually pretty asinine.

At least let him go until the first sign or trouble.

I thought the exact same thing; I had to remind myself that wasn't a pitcher batting.

The way he has pitched the last couple innings, and with a 4 run lead, I would give Davies two baserunners in the sixth before taking him out. Why not at least try to avoid needing the bullpen to cover 4 innings.

I do enjoy the Raptor's pace though...

get the ball, pitch the ball. How refreshing.

At which point the screams of "left him in X batters too long again", start to rain down. Every. Time.

Nope, you let him start the 6th, and if there is any trouble, a walk, a single, whatever, you take him out. Don't wait, don't stand around in the dugout looking confused, then all of a sudden bases are loaded. Be ready, first sign of trouble, take him out.
