Shaw......sigh. I hate it when people post stuff like "they're not even trying" or "they're not showing any heart", because there's no way for us to know these things.... but his facial expressions and body language REALLY look like he doesn't want to be playing baseball right now. Just looks really frustrated, and I just think dude needs to be shut down for the year.

The left side of the infield may need an overhaul in 2020. I don't think you can count on Moose being back, I don't think you can count on Shaw at all, and I think it's probably come time to move on from Orlando Arcia.

I'm not ok with anything that makes me look at any Cubs fan in a positive light.

So we need a catcher, a thrid basemen, a shortstop, a right hand hitting first basemen (assuming they bring back Thames), and a left hand hitting CF. And that is just the offense.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

Sheesh Gio, I know you're not a good hitter but is it asking too much to at least swing at strikes right down the middle?

Mark A trying his best to put lipstick on this pig.

Maybe it's just me, but Mark A. didn't sound all that enthused to me about the state of the team.

I just don’t buy the poor defensive rating Arcia has.

0 for 5 RISP. Different night, same old crap. It gets a little old hearing about how this RISP stuff just isn't predictable.

I wonder how many more runs they would have scored this year if they were just average with risp.

How many more at bats until all the "Shaw will eventually break out of it" talk can come to a close?

I don't think he's a poor defender. I just don't think it really matters how good of a defender you are when you're one of the worst offensive regulars in the majors.

Russell hit that one like it was his wife.

Is Saladino hurt?? I know he's not great but figured he would get a call up. He's better option than Shaw.

I mean Saladino, Perez, Shaw, Spangenberg, they're all terrible. It's kind of a miracle we're still hanging around by even a thread because we just don't have the horses anymore.

Imagine how bad Arcia's numbers would be without a juiced ball.

Cards' fans wear jorts.

Not a good decision at all to pull Gio. Counsell is insane yanking his starters so early every night.

As much noise some posters were making about Freitas he looks like at best a AAAA player.
